Sustainability at Landal ‘Kasteeldomein de Cauberg’
Realisation in Valkenburg a/d Geul (NL)

In Valkenburg aan de Geul, on the beautiful grounds of Landal Kasteeldomein de Cauberg, Green Cadence was invited to make a valuable contribution to a more sustainable future. Our assignment: to investigate both collective and individual sustainability options for the holiday homes in the park. A challenging and inspiring job at a unique location.
Sustainable opportunities
In close cooperation with the park manager and homeowners, we analyzed the technical, financial and organizational possibilities.
Among other things, we investigated:
- Collective heat supply
- Electrification of heating and hot water
- Solar panels and joint generation
In addition to technical feasibility, we also expressly considered willingness to invest and the desired comfort level for guests.
Workshop: from insight to action
To translate the insights into a supported plan, we facilitated an interactive workshop with owners and stakeholders. During this session, we brought together the various sustainability options, tested preferences and jointly selected the most promising routes.
We also looked ahead: which follow-up steps are necessary to get from plan to implementation?
Considering:
- Further technical elaboration
- Business cases per scenario
- Organization of collective decision-making and implementation
Together towards a greener park
With this assignment Landal Kasteeldomein de Cauberg has taken an important step towards a future-proof park in which sustainability, comfort and cooperation are central. We are proud that we were able to contribute to this development – both as technical advisor and as process facilitator.
