Green Cadence develops CO₂ reduction plan for Heebink’s real estate in Veenendaal
Realisation in Veenendaal (NL)

As part of their ambitions in the field of sustainability, Heebink Transport & Logistiek engaged Green Cadence to draw up an integrated CO₂ reduction plan for their real estate location in Veenendaal. With this collaboration, Heebink is taking a concrete step towards future-proof real estate management and responsible entrepreneurship.
Sustainable real estate: more than energy labels
Heebink’s real estate in Veenendaal includes offices, workshops and storage areas that are used intensively for logistics processes. Heebink’s ambition goes beyond meeting legal obligations such as energy label C: the goal is to actually contribute to the reduction of CO₂ emissions, with an eye for both environmental impact and cost savings.
Green Cadence was asked to draw up a substantiated and feasible CO₂ reduction plan, which takes into account the technical condition of the buildings, energy consumption, and operational processes.
Green Cadence approach
Our approach started with a thorough baseline measurement: an inventory of the current situation in terms of energy consumption, building installations and insulation values. We then identified the largest sources of emissions and identified practical opportunities for improvement. Think of:
- Optimization of the climate installations
- Solar Energy Integration
- Improved insulation of floors
- Smart monitoring and control of energy consumption
Based on this analysis, we drew up a step-by-step plan, with short- and long-term measures, including payback periods, subsidy options and CO₂ reduction per measure.
Result: a roadmap to sustainability
The end result is a concrete, feasible plan with which Heebink can gradually make its real estate more sustainable, resulting in a measurable reduction in CO₂ emissions. Thanks to the clarity of the plan, Heebink can make well-considered choices that fit their growth strategy and sustainability goals.
Working together on sustainable logistics
With this assignment, Heebink shows that making real estate more sustainable is an essential part of a future-oriented logistics operation. Green Cadence is proud of the collaboration and looks forward to the next steps in the implementation of the plan.
