Energy audit for Haveman Edelmetaal: insight as starting point for sustainability
Realisation in Voorburg (NL)

At Green Cadence we believe that every step towards sustainability starts with insight. We recently conducted a thorough energy audit for Haveman Edelmetaal in Voorburg. The goal: to get clarity on where energy is consumed, where unnecessary losses occur and which measures actually make an impact – both ecologically and economically.
Precision and sustainability: a logical combination
Haveman Edelmetaal is a specialist in the treatment and processing of precious metals. A sector in which precision is essential, and processes are often energy-intensive. The management had the ambition to make sustainability more focused, but first wanted to know: Where are we now? And what does sustainability really deliver for us?
Green Cadence was asked to conduct an independent energy audit, in accordance with the European EED directive and with an eye for the unique character of the company.
What we examined
Our audit mapped the site’s complete energy consumption. Considering:
- Lighting (conventional vs. LED)
- Climate systems and ventilation
- Creeping consumption
- Potential for solar panels and heat recovery
Concrete advice that is supported
The result was a clear report with:
- An overview of current energy consumption and costs
- A ranking of concrete savings measures
- Estimation of investment, payback time and CO₂ reduction per measure
- Recommendations for monitoring and next steps
Our approach is always pragmatic: we only recommend measures that are technically and organizationally feasible and fit the ambitions of the company.
Ready for the next step
The energy audit has not only given Haveman Edelmetaal insight, but also the confidence to get to work on sustainability. And that is exactly what we at Green Cadence stand for: helping companies make smart choices for a sustainable future.
