Sauna and wellness centres have a big challenge to make the transition to a sustainable energy system. We are therefore delighted to have been trusted by Sauna de Heuvelrug Veenendaal to draw up a comprehensive sustainability plan.
Through data analysis, on-site research and modelling with RETScreen Software, we have allocated the full energy consumption to the various installations. This provides insight into where the greatest potential for energy savings lies. The main measures proposed are:
– Renewable heat through PVT combined with heat pumps.
– Heat recovery from shower water.
In themselves obvious measures, but context and quantification are crucial when applying for permits, subsidies and making investment decisions.
Sauna de Heuvelrug and partner Tascon B.V. are preparing the permit application to take these major and necessary steps. With the total package of measures, the equivalent of about 100 homes can be made CO2-neutral. Sauna de Heuvelrug can then face a sustainable future!
